Have you ever been on a road trip and experienced a detour, route closure, or a vehicle malfunction? It is frustrating and takes the joy out of the trip. It is the same in life. We are traveling along, doing what we do, when all of a sudden, we've hit a detour (unexpected change in finances, marital status, employment), route closure (becoming an empty nester, retirement, change of church), or a malfunction (illness, depression).
